[Amazon.ca] Hisense 75” Q8G - $1486 ($313 off)

This is an all time low for this TV, aside from a brief price error. It ranks slightly below the 2020 TCL 6 series at $1999, and is rtings pick for budget TV.

Most sites had it on sale for $1699 up until last week, and are now all back to full price. Amazon has been chopping $100 off at a time since Prime Days ended, so it may drop even further. I pulled the trigger Sunday at $1582, and it’s already shipped, otherwise I’d cancel and reorder.

A buy, folks.

You're not seeing the microsecond price error again.

Nice find.

Too bad not Costco, Amazon is useless. Want $80 for an extra year of warranty where you'll get 2 years free and 5 years for a $100 at Costco.

I would never buy a tv at Amazon.

I’m in the market and gonna hope that Costco pulls another good Black Friday. I won’t by a TV from anywhere else but this price is damn tempting.

I'm tempted but not confident in the delivery service that it will arrive undamaged as the 75 inch is huge and returning it to Amazon seems like a huge hassle.

Also the warranty vs the Costco 5 year warranty

Are you talking about the RU8000 from last year. Did you get that? How is the tv? I was thinking of buyingRU9000 this year

Keep in mind Samsung is messing people's minds with the model number/series numbers. Every year they make it worse and worse and this year it's garbage for the RU9000. I bought it because it was the cheapest 80+" TV that wasn't terrible. It's not an awful TV, but if you put it side by side with the Hisense, it's literally night and day. H8G goes twice as bright and dark as the RU8000, where the RU8000 would struggle with HDR content. I'm rewatching The Mandalorian and it's a different experience on the H8G. Samsung specced the RU8000 too close to the Q60, and they want the Q60 to sell more so they made RU9000 worse. The Samsung however, is a native 120hz panel and perfect for PC gaming or next gen consoles (2k at 120hz or 4K at 60hz). Samsung is smoother for gaming, I play on Stadia at 4K/60hz and it's perfect.

+1 with Samsung mind games. I bought my Q70 82 inch for $3200 and then my friend bought the 'newer' version that was specced much lower.

Make sure you read the review for the model and year of release the tv is before you buy. Q60/70/80/90/etc. Aren't all kept the same year after year.
