[Amazon.ca] HP Envy x360 2-in-1 15.6" Ryzen 5 4500u/24GB RAM/1TB SSSD - $1453.15

This is for those who have been complaining about only 8GB RAM on most Ryzen 4000 laptops. Found this on amazon.ca. Not a sure if it's a hot deal. Just posting it thinking that some people might be interested.

It'd be much cheaper to buy the 8GB model and upgrade the ram and SSD yourself.

Yes, if the laptop RAM is upgradable. Most Lenovo ones have soldered RAM.

There are two threads about the HP Envy from Costco. Yes they are upgradable and a much better deal than this one.

Don't the X360 from HP have horrible motherboard issues. I got 2 of them 2 years, both died all of a sudden within 18 months.

Looking forward to dotmobile.

That's when buying from Costco with extra three years warranty (five in total) is really worth it!

Does anyone know if this one has bilingual keyboard like the Costco one? That's the only thing stopping me from buying that one.

This better do unspeakably libertine acts for $1500. I'm not giving up on a proper Ryzen 4500U/4700U deal in 2020... just yet.

2019 gave me the Dell 14" i5-1035G4 laptop for $299 USD, a system I upgraded with 32GB RAM, a 2TB NVMe, and an Intel AX200NGW WiFi 6 card.

We can get there again.

Stay blessed, folks.

Well, my understanding was that you get two years by default and then extra three years with the Costco warranty at $100. This is what I've seen being said everywhere about Costco.

I don't understand how it can possibly be a good deal when you get a Ryzen 4700 (instead of 4500) at Costco with same specs except the 24GB RAM (just upgrade the 8GB RAM), but you also get a digitizer pen and a USB-C hub, on top of that great Costco warranty. So, $1100 + RAM upgrade instead of $1453. Also, this unit is shipped from the US? To each its own but that would be a strange buy.

I thought the 3 years started when you purchase the ExcellencePlus plan

2+3 years only apply for Televisions.

Warranty on computers and other electronics start at the time of purchase. So 2-3 year depending on plan.

I stand corrected, wasn't clear to me! In any case, Costco's warranty (even the basic one) and return policy beats hands down the one you'd get from buying here.
