[Amazon.ca] HP OfficeJet 6962 Wireless All-in-one - $49.99

Apparently laser printers are the way to go but no way you would find one at this price. Lowest price ever for this inkjet model, good for back to school?

Just.... don't. Inkjet printers are a money pit. The official (902XL) black cartridges for this printer are 62 bucks. It certainly won't produce the full 825 pages like it's supposed to, as the printer (like every inkjet on the market) is designed to clean the print heads everytime you use it to prevent clogs, so you'll lose a bunch of ink every time.

This is well documented, ink jet printers are a scam, and unless you can find one where you can install a continuons ink system with huge tanks, and buy bigger quantities of ink, they cost a fortune to run down the road.

Actually it is eligible, just tried enrolling one to test.
Unless it's from the "Pro" line then office jet printers are all eligible for the free instant ink teir.

The aftermarket recycled ink cartridges from Canada computers are about $25 for the XL. I've been using those for years without any issues.

That's just a sales pitch for their remanufactured ink, the article mentions nothing of the free ink teir yet it is the main reason most frugal RFD'ers started jumping back on HP inkjets.
