[Amazon.ca] HyperX Pulsefire Raid Mouse - $39.99 (Regular is $84.99)

Just noticed this mouse on sale. Seems like a great deal since the regular price is $84.99. Lots of good reviews too! This is at an all-time low.

I used to go with Razer and Logitech's mice for the past 10 years or more.

I decided to try them after I had such great experience with the Cloud 2s.

I got this mouse last time it was on sale.

Awesome mouse, great deal OP!

Ya, I find HyperX products to be great quality. I bought a SoloCast mic a few weeks back, and it's amazing for the price I paid. Great build quality, easy to setup, clear sound, and the mute button is discrete.

how do you have a deathadder for 9 years? I have three of them and all three have the same problem at the end.

Problem: after 2-3 years of gaming, the left button starts to randomly double click when I only click once. holding the left button to select does not function as it will randomly clicking. I figured it should be the click switch worn out or something.

Yea, I agree. Everything about the mouse is great.

HP just bought Hyper X out so I'm worried about that warranty aspect.

Other than that, they make great products.

Does this mouse work out of the box or do you have to install their software? Someone complained it doesn't detect in Windows without their software installed in one of the reviews?

Do keep in mind that HyperX is now owned by HP rather than Kingston.
Edit: which I just saw was posted three comments above mine.

Now noisy are the clicks? And is the centre wheel smoothe or a little rough? I tend to have dry hands and my fingers tend to be sensitive to the centre wheel.

That's probably the button itself inside the mouse as you've said. I have an old Razer that has the same issue and I opened it up and rebent the tiny metal part inside the left clicker back into a normal position, now it works great again.
You could buy a new clicker and solder it on yourself if you have the skill, it is a very common problem unfortunately. If you still have 3 sitting around, you could even cannibalize one to take the right clicker out and use it on another.
c'mon get happy!

Maybe depends when you bought it? I have an older generation Deathadder from when Razer had blue LED’s on their products. They’re quality has gone downhill since from what I’ve read, so if you were buying green LED or RGB models, they likely just don’t make em like they used to.

I have the surge. I am not a mouse expert so cant comment about technical aspects, but it looks very nice and the feel is premium, better than Logitechs in the 60-70$ range. I’m debating right now if should buy another hyperx mouse in this thread

I upvoted for the deal but PC peripheral manufacturers have some of the most obnoxious marketing that exists.

shows latency score for FPS of 7.5. Is that considered bad?
and how bad is it compared to the best mouse for FPS ?
I read some other reviews which showed much better latency around 12 ms.

If you want to be sure, consider the FPS Pro model which rtings shows letter latency (but fewer buttons)
