Anecdotally and from the manufacturers instructions. Do not use this as a normal metal pot on a stove top. Esp not a glass stove top, we made that mistake and wanted to reheat on the stove with this pot and it cracked our glass.

I assume being stainless steel and all, it would likely outlast the electronics of the IP pot - don't know why anyone would need a replacement. Guess if you've dropped it and caused a huge dent or something.

I reheat on the coil top and it was fine.
$200 isn't bad. For my other range that has a cracked glass. I ended up replaced the range with another one from Kijiji for $100. Just getting the glass top itself is $300. Not including labour.

Could be time saving if you need to cook 2 things, 1 after the other, and don't have time to empty and clean. Pretty niche.

I use multiple when I do multi batches of things, spaghetti sauces, etc.. I got one cooking and another pot ready to drop in and start again while the other cools.
