To me I do think $390 is reasonable for it, >$400 should be a pre-Ryzen legacy price.

Good deal for best single-core performance around. If you don't need the best, better deals to be had on the red team these days.

You mean the 6-core processor that is going to be the exact same price as the current 4-core processors, with similar IPC but 50% more cores? Hmm, wonder why!?

If you need a CPU now, good deal. If you can wait a bit (dec 2017 or early 2018?), definitely wait for coffee lake.

Bought ryzen 1600 for 244 plus tax. 14320 passmark score and 1247 score on cr 15 after overclock to 3.7ghz without add voltage. No interest at Intel at all.

What are you using that for?
If that's for gaming, it's either wait for CoffeeLake or get 7700k.

Ryzen, while being very capable in gaming as well, definitely is still behind in fps/frame time.

Video editing, 3d design, some gaming nothing insane though.

You may want to check the actual performance if your software is specific,
but in general for productivity I definitely will go with Ryzen.
