YMMV since this product is mislabeled.

I attempted to buy this directly from Lavatools but couldn't get Canada as a shipping option, after reaching out to them they recommended I buy this one since Amazon has it mislabeled and no correction has been made. I have ordered and received the correct product, it is the Pro Duo and not the regular Pro.

Amazon.com has this for $49.99 USD with $9.63 shipping to Canada, Amazon.ca has this not on Prime for $97 and $5.54 shipping.

This thermometer is very well rated on multiple websites, America's Test Kitchen and Wired which can be considered fair reviews.

I'm happy to see the Thermapen still hold it's ground. I've been using and older model one for over 13 years and it's been flawless, customer support is top notch and I like the accessories like the silicone soft cover so I'll stay with what I have or would buy a new Thermapen in heartbeat when and if this one ever dies. Javelin pricing is great so I say go for it if anyone needs a thermometer in the kitchen - I cook a ton and use my Thermapen a few times a week, and can't imagine cooking without an accurate instant read.

Sometimes Bbq galore or bbq world have the thermoworks on sale for 25% if in no rush. Been using the thermopop for the last few years.

I was about to pull the trigger but noticed the drop down for the colours. The default colour was chipotle (discontinued) and I assume that is in reference to the pro...not the pro duo. Then when I looked through the drop down list it had chipotle duo there at 97.oo plus shipping instead of the low price the OP mentioned of 49.99.
Which one did you go for?
I am tempted to try for the Chipotle discontinued one and hope to get the pro duo.

I bought the Chipotle discontinued one for $59.95. Got nothing to lose. If I don't get the Pro Duo, I can always return it.

If you buy the one marked as discontinued you get the Duo which is the deal itself.
