Man I really want to get a ping pong table for my cottage rental games room but I know it'll instantly become a beer pong table causing bringing unwanted BS. Yes, I know it can be played on any table, but as they say, "out of sight, out of mind" rings very true.

Honestly full size pong pong tables are too big to play on. You should be more worried about having a nice dining room table Smiling Face With Open Mouth And Cold Sweat

A dining room table isn't going to trigger the idea though. Once you get a group in there and they see the ping pong balls, it's all over. Cottage is remote enough so that if they didn't bring balls to begin with, they won't bother to play. Leave them around and I'm just asking for it...

Ordered two of these in January with an estimated delivery of about Jan 15. They were not delivered and around Jan 25 Amazon declared them lost and refunded my $$. They came last week so it ultimately worked out and I got free tables.

It's the size of half the table plus room for some protective packaging. Maybe 5.5'x5'

Joola is a good brand. I was shopping on kijiji for one for a long time, but these don't fit in a minivan. So unless you've got a pickup, you're going to factor in the cost of renting one and picking it up. Amazon ships for free, not to mention new vs used?

I got mine 2 months ago from amazon during their last sale for $260 and super happy with it.

And why is thinner more expensive?

It generally isn't. This sale makes the thicker table cheaper which should fall back in line after the sale ends.

Also, are all tables at professional level MDF? There's nonsuch thing as a solid wood pingpong table right

How do you like it?
I bought the same one when it was on-sale for $99. It took some time to assemble and worked fine for a while. After folding/unfolding several times, for some reason the 2 side won't align where they meet by the net. I returned it and bought this one for $120. it looks the same as the one in OPs post and has smaller footprint when folding up comparing to the $50 table.

The box didn't fit in Sienna so rented a pickup truck.
