I'm curious if you can turn on another light with the motion activation.

Basically, when I enter the house (and it's night etc etc), and motion is detected, it turns on the lamp (which is another kasa switch/plug) and not the light switch is wired to.

Great deals on both! The dimmer has been this price at a few retailers for the last week (picked up 3 from Dell as I had a coupon to use up). The motion activated one looks very interesting, but I am not sure where I would use it...I will think of something ;) My house has lots of Kasa switches and plugs and they all work flawlessly.

With kasa and IFTTT you could likely do whatever you wanted to do!

For a 3 way switch, do both need to be 3 way, or can you use one 3 way and one single pole?

No problem! This was the last piece of the puzzle for Kasa switches in the house (well, except a 4-way switch, which I haven't even looked at yet).

I use 1 3way and the other is just a normal non-kasa switch .. works fine.

Now I'm hoping the 3way dimmer is the same.

I looked into the 3-way dimmer the other day when I saw it on Amazon. It seems that you need to use both on one circuit, or one on the 3-way dimmer circuit (along with a dumb switch) and the second one as a regular 2-way dimmer.

Thanks, just ordered a bunch of single pole and 3 way to try around the house.
