[Amazon.ca] Kasa Smart Light Bulbs (2 - Pack), KL125P2 $24.99 instead of $34.99 Daily Deal

The pack of 2 is currently only $5 more than a single. Had been looking at these lately and now saw that they are on a daily deal so I picked up a pair to try them out.

A few other TP-Link products have daily deals as well...

Thanks OP, if I didn't already have LIFX bulbs around the house, I would definitely get these to go with my other Kasa devices I have installed throughout the house.

How are these compared to Globe Electric? Costco sells a 3 pack for 32.99 making the per bulb cost a couple of dollars cheaper than this deal.

Personally I find the coloured portion of the Globe Electric to be underwhelming. The white is bright and as expected, but if you want an individual colour like blue or red, it is very dim.

I also find the google home integration is sometimes odd. If one of my other RGB lights are off, I can say "set the lights to red" and they will turn on and to red. For the Globe, I still need to explicitly say "turn on the globe light" and then "set the light to red" for it to actually turn on and set to red.

I like sth has a hub, I installed a few kasa switches & outlets because they are cheap & reliable, but my router has to control all of them separately, I’m afraid one day my Asus Ax86u will be crashed by them. I have almost 50 hue lights with only 1 bridge, I love hue, they are the best.

Honestly I pulled the trigger for this same use case (it's either these or those Sengled bulbs + hub). It's $13/bulb, its not the end of the world if our winter breaks it, but I have a feeling it will be fine in an outdoor light enclosure. One review said they used outdoor and it was fine.

Wondering for these bulbs, If switch is on or off, it wouldn't turn the bulb on would it unless I used app? light switch would have to be on of course, but say if bulb is turned off, and I come in and flick lightswitch on/off, bulb would still be off?

I have the kl130 model and if I turn off the bulb. Then turn off the switch and back on. It does turn the bulb on
