[Amazon.ca] KASA Smart Outdoor Plug (TP-Link) $27.99

Kasa Smart Outdoor Plug with 2 Outlets, Individual Control, IP64 Waterproof and Scheduling (Sunrise & Sunset), Works with Alexa & Google Home (KP400)

This smart outdoor plug is probably the best one out there. I personally have two and they work very well. Pair this with Google Assistant and you can turn on anything outside handsfree.

CCC has this as lowest price, ever.

*As per @badboyxjc you can buy this directly from Amazon.ca for $29.99

Great deal for a great device. I purchased this last year from Amazon.com before it was released in Canada.

It just seems odd that it has such a short wire. My outdoor outlets are probably 4-5 feet off the ground. Do people use this with another extension cord?

That is so that it hangs down and prevents water getting into the outlets.

Even though it's a few dollars more, buying directly from Amazon is probably a better idea than buying third-party from "HappyShopping1" with shipping from China and a 29% positive rating.

Yes, I have two extension cords from mine. One for our SUV and another for wife's car. I have them programmed for specific non overlapping times based on our schedules. I can even manually turn on/off either using actiontiles/Smartthings tablet mounted by front door.

what's your setup like, that home monitoring device looks awesome.

also please explain why you have an extension cord connected to your vehicles

I only use the cords during winter months.

I have too much home automation to list. Fully automated using Smartthings system and sensors in every room. Using mostly hue (around 100 devices, 2 hubs) tp link kasa (~25 devices) and many nest/Google hubs, cameras, thermostat, home, wifi, and protect. Chamberlain IQ garage door, August smart lock pro, several harmony remotes. Probably missing a few others. I think I have around 200 devices linked to my Smartthings hub.
