[Amazon.ca] Kef C4 subwoofer

Was not even shopping anything related to this but I felt I had to share this with you. Lowest price according to camel. Can’t go wrong with KEF products anyway ...

29Hz. You're better off saving up a bit more and getting something with a lower frequency response IMO. Decent 8" sub but its not going to really give you that deep sound of a 12" with sub 20Hz frequency response.

Curious, which sub are you recommending within a similar price range that can sustain a 20hz real life frequency response? I'm quite curious.

Otherwise this is a great deal.

Got this sub a few years ago - works nicely for us as our living room is in a smaller space and not so big to wake up the sleeping children :)

There's quite a few options actually, to be fair, he did say save up. Fine pint, these may not have a real life output at 20hz, but some are at least rated for it. The options I'd recommend without totally exceeding this price rage would be:

PA-150, BIC AM PL200, V1020 or 2020 or even a RKR sub.

My biggest regret when buying my sub was not buying an SVS. I had credit at AudioVideo and picked up a Mirage for more money SVS are quite economical considering what you get, and the output is phenomenal.

An SVS PB1000 would be in the 500 dollar range, so twice as much, however, can definitely hold at 20hz real life and at least twice to four times the output of the the aforementioned subs.

While that is a much better sub, its hard to compare when it costs well over twice as much, the SVS is closer to $700 and most people on this forum won't notice a difference between the 2..
show me where you can get the SVS for $500 so I can buy one right now!

Lol, yes well that's why I listed four other subs first before pulling out the big gun. That was in response to r1lee to there being "no other subs" in the same price range capable of better performance.

You're right, average price is about 700cdn. They've dropped into the 550 (RFD 2017) to 650 range a couple times the past year. They're often 500USD at bhphoto.

Deals are relative. The $300 range subs mentioned compete with the 400 to 600 MSRP range subs you'd find at Visions. A 700 SVS sub would be my pick over a $1500MSRP sub at any big box or boutique store.

Meh. Even though I have the Q100s and Q200c, imo you are better off with a sub that goes sub 20hz.. SVS SB12 or PB1000 would be a better choice for a lifelong subwoofer. Bic f12 of the PL200 are great options too.
