[Amazon.ca] Kicking Horse Coffee - Smart Ass Whole Beans 1lb $9.99

No other flavors on sale today..yet, although the ground bags are if that's your thing. I wish Hoodoo Joe would go on sale, it rarely does.

Cue the Kicking Horse haters!

Thanks OP.
Several other flavours were added to the $9.99/lb sale after you posted.

I've only tried the Grizzly Claw (like it) and Three Sisters (ok, but not as fragrant) so far. How do the other flavors compare? Anything you guys would recommend trying?

I think this is the standard price at Metro etc.

At least it shows at a similar price on the PC app

can anyone comment on how fresh these beans usually are?

I've been waiting for a coffee thread to ask this! I recently started making coffee from home and have tried three brands:

1) Initially, the Lavazza classic, which I hated.
2) Then Folgers Classic Roast, which I actually quite like, so it became my staple.
3) Lastly, as a result of many RFDers suggesting it, I tried the PC West Coast Dark Roast. I also really didn't like this one.

I guess I like lighter/sweeter-tasting coffees compared to darker/bitter ones. For example, I generally like using cream and a little bit of sugar in my coffee.

Does anyone have suggestions for nice, widely-available coffees that might fit the bill? Unfortunately, I don't have a grinder so I usually buy pre-ground (that would be my next investment in exploring further).

Thanks!

I have similar taste preference with you.
I usually buy whole bean Starbucks Breakfast Blend at Loblaws, and most of Loblaws has Starbucks inside, so I just ask their barista to grind it, there is no charge.

I'm drinking Smart Ass right now, it's decent - sometimes it tastes a bit light but the caffeine delivery is pretty good

Same price at Loblaws as well, even better if you have PCO offer for 1,800 points for every $9 spent + $2 cash back from CO51.

Out West, on sale at YIG this week for $9.99, can price match at RCSS in case there are more varieties available. Between two household accounts, I always have a PCO offer for this coffee.

Grizzly Claw is my favourite (and I've tried most flavours).
