Motivation is transient.

Grit, determination, and resolve carry the day.

If I have to convince my employee to stay motivated, I've hired the wrong employee. I screen heavily on this basis.

Supporting morale, embodying personal integrity, and mutual respect, are all essential. Motivating employees that lack discipline is a fruitless effort, incentivizing good employees to do great things is worthwhile and rewarding.

Chasing motivation is like chasing an ever elusive high you never quite achieve.

That's a really long post. Will think about coming back to digest it later, later, later...

Clearly this book isn't for you. Prolly a top ten motivated redflgr over the last 3 years.
