If you just plan on reading books, go for the 8GB. If you have any interest in audio books, go for the larger one. Comics can get up there in size too, but depending on how many you want to have on there at one time, you're likely fine with either.

Yes, I recommend using calibre e-book management for this purpose. Web2Epub is also useful if you wish to convert web serials to epub for later reading on your kindle.

No it does not unfortunately. The newest paperwhite has a larger 6.8" display with changes the form factor of the device.

If you read only novels, just get the 8gb model.

If you read PDFs / Manga / Comics, get the 16gb / 32gb model.

You can fit thousands upon thousands of regular novels on the 8gb Kindle since most novels is less than 1mb each.

Manga is usually around 60-100mb per volume so it adds up quickly.

Thanks op, was debating between the regular bundle vs signature edition bundle, but for $45 more why not futureproof it. Got the signature bundle.

Just a note for the purpose of just reading regular novels, it's not a PDF. You can just increase the font size instead of having to rely on a larger screen like reading comics / manga.

A bigger screen does make reading comics / manga much easier though,

Is there a trade in program for the kindle or something? I want to get this one but I want to sell my old one as it won’t get use otherwise. I know there was one on Amazon.com.

FWIW, I wanted to order a second one so went back and tried again, and it only let me use the coupon once. Oh well. $86.96 all in (BC). Used my savings partially to get a third-party case for ~$17.90 since I'll be gifting this one and all the cases are all about $10 on Aliexpress these days (was $6 for my 10th gen PW).

I don't know about native cabilities but with calibre (https://calibre-ebook.com/) you can convert and load pretty much any format of book.

You don't need to anymore. The Kindle's been updated to allow reading epubs natively.

Isn’t a kobo always a better deal long term? You will have access to unlimited books from your local library.
