Has been this price for a week or so now.
I snagged a "used like new" for $74+tax a couple of days ago from warehouse deals so keep an eye out for those. It was practically new open box. Great little device. 8GB might not go far but that's a future me problem.

I see there are 2 warehouse items for $74 now. I have bought a few warehouse deals over the years. Might consider that for the amount I would use it

This item is not covered by the Amazon Device Limited Warranty, but it can be returned for a refund within 30 days of receipt of shipment as long as it remains in the same condition as the date of purchase.

Yeah I noticed that disclaimer. Just wondering the condition on these. I would probably get a case anyway

Just FYI these kindles apparently don’t work with library ebooks that you can rent from your local library. In Canada it can only work with kindle ebooks purchased from Amazon. There’s some options for downloading to computer and then transferring to kindle in order to read library ebooks but a bit of a hassle.

Exactly. Super easy now with the @kindle.com email address - just download the EPUB file and email it, and it appears on the Kindle.

And 8gb is huuuuuuge. You’ll never run out of room - that’s like 6-7000 ebooks.

I use a Kobo for that purpose, no need for the .mobi conversion on Calibre Library software, plus I can access Overdrive. I bought both brands, use Kobo more but it has a bigger 8" screen vs. an old 6" paperwhite

Wait, we don't need to do the .mobi conversion anymore?

They are dropping .AZW and .MOBI support from Send to Kindle, though.
So does this actually work? I can download a library book and then send it to a Kindle without the hassle of OverDrive? Is that right? If so, then I might have a birthday item to wish for!
