[Amazon Canada] Kingdomino Board Game - $19.96

It's been a little while since I have seen any board game deals posted, so here is one:

Amazon has Kingdomino on sale. Boardgameprices (https://www.boardgameprices.com/prices/kingdomino) lists it from $26 and up.

Here is more info on the game if you are not familiar: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/204583/kingdomino.

EDIT: Since amazon is now sold out, the link to Indigo is here: https://www.chapters.indigo.ca/en-ca/to ... -item.html.

They are matching Indigo's 20% off board game sale. Similar prices to Indigo on several games.

I bought Kingdomino last summer. it's a nice, simple, short and easy game to play. Our family then got Queendomino for Christmas; it adds a lot more options to the game, kind of like how "Catan: Cities & Knights" added so many more options to the basic Catan game. Kingdomino & Queendomino can be played separately or even merged into a larger game.

Kingdomino is a nice game to use as a gateway game for new games, but if you're looking for a bit more depth, check out Queendomino.

Sheriff of Nottingham from 401 Games is $29.39

I just wanted to add that shipping for me, to BC, would be $8.95 for a game, All in this game would be $40.26. At chapters, all in, this would be $40.28, but you also get 180 Plum Points.

I have Queendomino as well, and while I agree there is more you can do in it, it is a standalone game, meaning you can't play kingdomino from the queendomino box (like how you can play sushi go from the sushi go party box). They swapped a bunch of tiles.
Also, we find that throughout the game, it's really hard to tell who is winning as scoring is way more complicated.
And finally, almost every game we have played of queendomino, the winner played the game like they were playing Kingdomino. Going after town tiles and the bonuses they give never won out over just going for tiles and crowns.

Decent deal. I think I've seen it at $23 at 401 games. Game is really great though for anyone who isn't deep into boardgames, like if you want something to play with your family.

That is going to depend how people play the game. When I played queendomino the person who played like it's kingdomino got demolished and I comboed a bunch of buildings to win by a healthy margin

That said, I only have kingdomino because it does what I want out of the game and I'll probably play something else if instead of queendomino if I want to step up

We always play 4, and almost every queen game mechanic doesn't change the tide well enough.
