[Amazon.ca] Kingston DC450R 3.84TB 2.5 SATA SSD - $545.83 - DEAD NOW!

I just came across this, should be a good Steam drive/storage drive, yes I know you can get normal HDD's for less but I was looking for something speedier for loading games etc. Price per GB is $0.14, so not too bad. Now if we can just get 4TB nVME drives at the same price!

Reviews seem good as well, will report back when I receive mine.

Strange how it is 3.84TB and not 3TB or 4TB, but in between lol. Not for everyone though at that price point. Oooph.

I think it's because it's "server grade" that might be why but not 100% sure.

3D TLC Memory... DC means there is a set BOM (bill of materials) and it would be a very very reliable drive. The additional space is allocated to ensure lifespan and performance.

This isnt expensive for a 4TB drive at all, and actually... this is a steal. The lowest price of all in fact... for an enterprise drive much less. The 860 Pro 4TB is going anywhere from 1200 to 1400. I think I may have one below much less (Hope its ok to say that,)

It probably allocated extra spaces for defect replacement blocks to improve the endurance. Some of the 1TB SSD drives are sold as 960GB SSD for the same reason.

Yep, I actually noticed it a couple of days ago and forgot to post it, was shocked it was still in stock when I checked today.
