[Amazon.ca] KitchenAid Tool and Gadget Set with Crock, 6-Piece (Black and Aqua) - $19,96 (SOLD OUT)

I think this is a good price for this set. Available in black and aqua. I think the last time, only the aqua option was available at this price.

EDIT : Black seems to be sold out.
EDIT 2 : Price back to 72.49 !!! lol but you can buy with used - very good condition for $17.96.

Price is good, but one review says the plastic melted at a high temperature. Yikes! I'll stick to wooden tools.

Thanks OP but bought this set few years ago. Big mistake! The plastic melts easily and gets into the food.

AVOID!

Just for clarity, how were you using it when it melted? Did you leave it in a pan/pot? Was it boiling water? Just want some additional details as only one review out of almost 300 mentioned melting.

Some mentioned the handle being heavy and flipping out of pots/pans, but that might not be the safest habit.

I have this set (in black) from The Bay and it's been fine so far, though the above comments about melting are probably accurate at high temperatures. I will say this set is listed for $80 at the Bay but I bought it on sale (or clearance, can't recall) for $20, so same price as this

Don’t get nylon. Silicon is the way to go. My nylon turners have always melted leaving a mess to clean on my pans.

Good question.

IIRC, one of the spoon ends melted while I was stirring the pot, specifically the part that was touching the bottom of the pan. Even the flat spoon over time started to thin out from making eggs or pancakes, mostly. I didn't pay attention to the change until I noticed the slightly melting of the spoon.

I bought this at the last sale. It’s 100% better then any dollarama or Betty Crocker special there is some weight to it. Wouldn’t dishwash it. But using now for a couple months and it’s been good.
