[Amazon.ca] LABISTS Mini 3D Printer DIY Kit High Precision $142.99 w/ Prime

Was occasionally browsing for 3D printers thinking about doing some DIY during the pandemic to kill some time and stumbled across this deal. Personally, i think this is a great deal for starters that want to get into 3D printing and it won't break your wallet :) The sale price is $179.99 but you can apply the coupon for an additional $15 off.

EDIT: you can now save an additional $10 with coupon and $27 if you are a prime member making it $142.99.

Thanks, the price is right. I've wanted one for years to start building custom mechas and nendoroids

Price timeline for anyone interested/wondering:

Midnight EDT: $179.99 - $15.00 coupon = $164.99
1:45 am EDT: $152.99 - $15.00 coupon = $137.99
2:30 am EDT: $152.99 (no coupons)

That said, $152.99 is still a great price for anyone who is in the market for a starter 3D printer.

Save up and get an Ender 3. Don't waste your money on this even if it's on sale.

I wonder who wants to get “ into 3D printing”
I’m imagining 30 years ago.. if you’d like get in printing buy this dot matrix printer. Isn’t this just a tool to help you with some other job you’re doing? Like lawyers used to need printers to print documents. Nobody needs printer for the printer! Isn’t it same for 3D?
Can someone open my eyes please?

If you can't think of a reason someone might want to dabble in 3D printing, then this product is not for you. It's for those with imagination.

Seriously though, it's for making toys. Would be good for an intro to 3D printing for you or your kids. Nothing structural can be made with this.

Can you help out and tell us which ender 3 is official and the one people should get from Amazon?

I have an Ender 3 and bought this for my kids to use. With a decent filament it works just about the same, so if you don't need something larger I don't see why you would need to save up. Even if you did, I'm not sure the Ender is the best option anymore as there is a very nice looking model in the same price range from Labists that includes a glass bed and auto-levelling. I paid quite a bit extra to add those features on to my Ender afterward, so getting them included is a no-brainer if it prints at least as well as this cheapie.

By the way, the Labists X1 is not the $95 printer in that Linus video above. It already includes the extra fan duct they mentioned was needed to improve print quality. Probably has some other less noticeable changes too.

Yeah, I wouldn't get this 3D printer looks problematic, very likely will be sitting in some closet after done printing trinkets.

As many have said, get an Ender 3 Pro for a little more money, bigger build area means more things you can create, with a heated bed you are able to print with more materials and you can change/upgrade parts to improve print quality.

If you have money (x4 cost of Ender 3) lying around I would get a Prusa lol
