Decent price for a cast iron skillet from a name brand. Lowest price according to CCC, was $18.66 in March 2019.

Desk seems dead but I’d keep watching the page. I’ve seen items come back in stock.

Normal sale price every other week at canadian tire

Decent quality, better than dollarama but will require effort seasoning at the start. Handle is almost a necessity for cast irons, almost no drawbacks but so much easier to handle

So your suggesting people to spend 40% more on “Hot deals”?

Cast iron is cast iron regardless where it’s made, I would rather get another cheap backup vs spending 40% more. You ever wonder where Lodge get their steel from?

Cast iron is cast iron, but lodge > lagostina and theres hundreds of reviews straight on RFD who have used both. If you don't know, cast iron pans can differ in quality, and it isn't because of the material. Like you said though, it is more expensive and not worth it for everyone

Why would lodge make iron from steel? How would they get rid of the carbon and why would they try to make iron from steel anyways? Oh wait, you mean iron ore. Well, in that case they get it from the same place the other US foundries get it from. Various places in the eastern USA. The US has no shortage of iron ore. China, on the other hand, does.

Link? I can't find online. Was debating the $40 12" but would much rather a $28 10"

The online price for Lodge on Walmarts site is different from in store everywhere - maybe cuz it's heavy or something? For yeah it's around $28 for the 10in and $35 for 12in. The 10in I'd harder to find however, as it seems the 12 and 8in are more popular.
