[Amazon.ca] Lavazza Rossa coffee $3/250g or $2.5 with subscription.

Entry level Lavazza coffee. Lightyears ahead of any of the generic brands in big box stores in terms of taste IMHO. Usually it is around $4-$5 per 250g. now it is $2.99 with subscription it is $2.54 or so.

here is another variety for a different taste:

Certainly 1kg at $10 is cheaper, but if small packs are your thing, price is not bad for an entry level coffee

No Frills has this for $2 sometimes, and even $1 too.

Try locations where there's less likely to be espresso drinkers. They end up putting a whole skid on sale because the product never sells well at No Frills.

Got the kpods on sale for $15.99 for 30 with no tax last week at RCSS. Works out to about .47 each pre-tax.

The ground is too fine for use in a French press. I use them in an Aeropress or stovetop espresso maker.
