[Amazon Canada] LEGO Technic Bugatti Chiron $339.99

I haven't seen a sale on this in a long time.

EDIT: I see Costco is the same price.

I know this may be inappropriate for purists but I just buy these from Aliexpress (eg. link). This model is usually around $100-110.

My oldest has many of the models including the porsche rs, vette, ferrari, etc. The pieces are the same and so is the functionality. Prices are always at least 1/3 Lego branded equivalents and you can get all the upgrades including LED kits, motors, etc.

The extra lead dust makes the pieces easier to put together, too. :)

I have the aliexpress clone you are talking about. While the pieces look identical, the LEGO ones are built to more precision. I’ve had some gears slide a little loose on the shafts and others not. And when the car is all built, the gears do not work, they constantly jam. And if you read the YouTube reviews, they say the same.
I keep my real LEGO and clone separate. And while the Bugatti is a showpiece that my kids wanted, in hindsight I would prefer to keep it all genuine if I could.

If you plan to keep it as show piece, then aliexpress one is good.

Still sitting in the box. No time to build yet. Same with my GT3-RS, Big Ben...etc.
