RAM upgradeable, gents? Costco returns and warranty are luxurious.

The real problem with the above is the 15.6" screen, 14" is my limit for comfortable portability.

Otherwise very attractive, if upgradeable.

Looks like she has two SODIMMs. Therefore, 64GB of RAM is a possibility... 32GB is enough for me unless I plan to make it a dedicated workstation.

I believe TVs are only slightly cheaper in-warehouse because you're saving them on shipping. TVs are bulky.

I hope I'm wrong though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I had only the bad experience using any HP product. Their laptops tend to be build with, I'll call it, custom versions of retail products. Like, a network card, or some chipset will have a specific part number applicable to only this model of a laptop. The HP releases the laptop and after a year, forgets about it. Any driver issues may remain unsolved (because those parts are model specific). Not to mention incredible amount of bloatware as it seems the HP is highly driven by marketing (their printer drivers come with software that is pushing ads for "would you like to order more ink for your printer?").

Lenovo tends to be better both with hardware support and a reasonable amount of bloatware that is not "in your face"

Oh shit this laptop looks very nice. How likely is it that ram can be upgraded? It has two sticks, but I don't know if that means they're soldered?

Nearly identical build, looks like it comes with two SODIMM slots.

Looks like we have a new player in the game, someone should create a new thread for the Costco Envy 360 15" :)

My apologies for my earlier comment, questioning the specs of the HP Envy was legit.

This guy did a teardown video of the HP Envy and mentions in this video that ram CANNOT be upgraded. They're soldered.

He mentions it in this video around 13:15

The ram seems upgradable from a couple of reddit threads that I've read regarding different 15" Envy 360 models. People are mentioning that for the 13" models the ram is not upgradeable but the 15" models are.

That is pretty confusing. This guy took that 13" model apart and said they were soldered
