[Amazon.ca] Levoit LV600S Room Humidifier - 118.99

Well-reviewed and recommended (as per Wirecutter) humidifier is on sale at Amazon for $118.99. Not the ATL price but pretty close (lowest was $112.48).

not sure about that ATL as I bought the black version in 2021 Black Friday for $93.51 plus tax.

I know Time Machine, but my issue why I returned it and went with this (right now $99 but back then $84.99 ATL?) is because it was hard to clean.

There's a hole on the top for refilling but to clean is so small I barely fit my hand to wipe down the insides.

I could be wrong, but I believe that's a different model altogether, and therefore you can't compare the $93 price to this. It looks like what you bought is the LV600HH, which has a hole at the top for refilling, but that is MUCH smaller than the one at the top of the LV600S.

Is the warm most really warm? I have bought similar humidifier in the past from Costco but they warm mist comes out as cold. Finally bought a Honeywell Warm mist humidifier from Walmart which provides warm mist as advertised.

The 50 hour runtime might be on the lowest settings on cool mist. I run mine on the warmest heat level and max output and I need to refill every 12 hours.

i had this model b4 ... make sure you do regular maintenance.... if you want it to last ,..i got about 5 years out if it with minimal cleaning.... then the fan noise became too loud

i recently got the 300s model instead... cheaper and does all the features i need

but thumbs up for this brand.... best room humidifier i ever had ...

Gah, just bought this model 3 weeks ago

Does amazon have a price adjustment system, or is it only refund and buy a new one?

IMPORTANT

Keep in mind that if you use any ultrasonic/cool mist/warm mist humidifier with tap water, you will end up with a white dusty film on everything in the room (and maybe even outside the room) that comes from the dissolved salts and minerals in the tap water.

The alternative for this would be to use distilled water but that can slowly add up in cost.

Another alternative would be to use an evaporative humidifier but those also have their own costs in terms of having to replace wicks/filters.

For people that are claiming they got this a few years ago they are probably mistaken, this is a new version recently released about 15 months ago.

This was $112.50 for Black Friday 2022. Still a good price now. I have 2 of these at home. Good bye dry winter months!

The above is true for ultrasonic but makes no sense for warm mist. Warm mist and evaporative use the same principles. Warm mist uses high temps and evaporative users large surface area.

I need to refill it after running all night.

This is my first humidifier and read about the dusty film. I use tap water and have yet to see this.

I bought it and like it.
Purchased about 3 weeks ago for$129.
Definitely worth the purchase.

Note that you need a 2.4ghz network to set up the app.

The good thing about this dehumidifier is that it has a built in sensor so your predetermined humidity level is maintained within 5% of the set level.

It's relatively easy to clean as well.

At this price, grab it, it's worth it.

Also it's the top rated humidifier on wirecutter for what it's worth.

Yes you are right, my mistake. Warm mist should not produce the white dust film.

I bought the black version a few months ago, for around 90. The difference between that and the smart version listed here is the cheaper black one doesnt come with on-top filling option, alongwith the app controlled features. I have another humidifier with on-top filling, and it really makes a difference.

At the max setting, am getting around 18 hours from this humidifier, which I find good, considering the more water it requires, the more it releases in the form of humidity in the room.

Yes. Just go to your order and click "Get Product Support" and Chat with an Amazon agent. If that option is not on your orders, find online chat somewhere else.

I have this and while it's a good humidifier overall, there's too much upkeep. All the small nooks & crannies in the base will get slimy over time & cause odor if not cleaned (weekly event if used daily) which is a chore. Other designs have a much simpler base making it 10x easier to clean.

White dust can be 90% eliminated by filtering tap water through a brita so it's not really an issue.

I have had this machine for a couple of years, it's quieter than most machines. If you do not plan on cleaning it at least bi-weekly I would not recommend it. There will be a buildup of mold and other slime, if you use it everyday.
