[Amazon.ca] LG 27-Inch monitor 27GL83A-B - 468.63$

This is for the LG 27GL83A-B which is the Amazon Exclusive version of the LG 27GL850-B (usually ~700$ IF AVAILABLE AT ALL now ~600$). Both monitors are pretty much the same apart for the LG 27GL850-B having USB device I/O behind the monitor. Otherwise it's the same and at an insane price.

This is, in my opinion, the best monitor for gaming you can have as it hits the sweet spot between high density ppi, amazing colors, unquestionable response times and solid screen size.

144Hz, 1Ms response time, HDR10 at 1440p and GSync compatible. Best response time as it's part of the ultragear lineup. Never seen it go on sale until now. Ordered a unit right away and I thought RedFlagDeals would like to know about it too.

This monitor is often out of stock too as the demand for it and its bigger luxury brother is fairly high.

Easily the one of if not the best gaming monitors out right now. I didn't know Amazon had their own exclusive.

I discovered so recently, spared me 100$+ on the big brother. Since USB hubs are cheap, I don't see the point in buying the 27GL850-B version.

Do both monitor use the same panel? This doesn't make sense why would the only difference be 2 usb ports, why go through the trouble to register and liscence 2 different screen who are identical in every way except for 2 extra usb port. There must be more difference between both...

also wtf is up with that link? can't you post a regular one like this: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07YGZL8XF

The main difference between these two monitors is that the LG 27GL83A has an sRGB color gamut backlight whereas the 27GL850 covers a wider DCI-P3 color space.

This is a good price compared to the 850, but only 6% off the list price. I think better prices will be coming - I hope so, anyway. This monitor in the $350-$400 range would be a no brainer.

Many will skip your post. Do you google every code you see on the Internet?

It's a model number not a "code"... It's not my problem to educate you. If you want to know, click on the thread, if you don't, then skip on it. Many people know codes, like TCL R625 or ASUS PG278QR.

Part of the code is a description of the item... 27GL83A-B means:

27 = Screen Size Inches = 27 inches
G = Screen Matrix = Greater than Full HD
L = Year of the model = 2019
83 = Series
A = Type of connectors to connect to a monitor
B = Color or design, B means Color in LG manufacturing

Maybe Kijiji would be more your thing.

Nice monitor. 6% discount is pretty skimpy though. Personally, I'd buy the Dell Alienware 34 inch 1900 curve - opulence!!
