For Xbox series x gaming purposes, trying to compare this to the Dell S2721QS which is about $360 right now before rakutens 8% off.

The dell seems to have better contrast (1300 vs 1000), although RTINGS shows the tested contrast between the two are almost the same.
The LG appears to have HDR400 which seems like an edge up from the unspecified 'HDR10' on the Dell... I know neither are good HDR but the LG does win. Both have 350nits brightness.

Might just get the Dell based on the higher contrast ratio. Not sure though.. anyone have any suggestions between the two?

Where did you find the $360 price? Dell.ca is showing 430 and out of stock.

The dell one has all ports pointing downwards, which could be useful if your desk is not deep enough. The LG's ports are all facing back.

I have the S2721Q without the adjustable stand and use if for the Series X. Works fine as a small monitor option. HDR is ok but I keep it off. Overall I'm happy with it, should be about $350 with discounts offered on the Dell site with 10% off.

Sorry I meant the non-s version, which is without the fancy stand. That ones 399 base price. The fancy stand, s model, is 429.

Many models of LG 27" 4K IPS use the same/similar panel. Occasionally they go to the low $300's. I have a few panels 2-3 years old which have similar specs as the one in the OP.
