Still really impressed by my C8 from Black Friday 2 years ago and it has been nothing short of stunning.
Best TV I have ever owned... and it was REALLY hard to to replace my Panasonic 1080p Plasma.

I have a B9 from last year that I got for $1495 on a negotiated open box deal at Visions and feel the exact same. Could not be happier. This is a good price on the CX though especially if you can get it down to $1825-1850 in-store for the open box.

Got the 65" CX from the healthcare visions deal. It was replacing a Sony 65x900e which was no slouch....

Never going back to LED. OLED is where it's at. The quality of the image is worlds apart. Everyone worries too much about the burn in nonsense. Unless you're leaving a static image on the tv for many hours a day you won't need to worry.

Couldn't believe it when I opened the box and saw how thin it was 🤯

When my Panasonic Plasma dies I'll be replacing it with an OLED. Of course, the TV is in perfect condition and will probably not die anytime soon!

The myth of the perfect monitor size. I'm recommending everyone considering the 48"... strongly consider the 55" CX. If they can adjust to a 55" panel, they can adjust to a very common TV size with many other alternatives in the market. 48" panels are far less common, as are 49" panels... and even the somewhat more common 50" panels are a desert by comparison.

Humble opinion.

I’ve had the 55” C8 since January 2019. Best TV I’ve ever owned. Paid around this price with an extended warranty at Best Buy.

I got close to 3500 hours of usage and zero burn in issues. Used as my main TV for media and PS4 / Switch.

Very tempting but I feel it'll go down even more around Black Friday.

I was offered 1880+tax for LG CX 55inches but dont want to spend this much. Heavily leaning towards X900H for ps5 and xbox series x. Already have LG 65" OLED in living room but need another TV for my gaming room and dont wanna break the bank. TCL 6 series 2020 is another one I am looking at. I was told X900H 55inch BF price will be 1098+tax

The days of truly extreme OLED pricing are over. I take stock in that fact.

I am with you! I am all over the 55 inch CX as a monitor/TV but when the 77 go down in price significantly, probably a few years from now, I think a 77 inch OLED or micro-led is going to be the way to go.

I just stare at the CX when I see it in Costco . . .stunning is by far the best word to use to describe the picture quality.

Costco won't budge on price but Visions and BestBuy have some room, especially if you buy an extended warranty and/or something else like a mount.

When LG releases updated firmware to fix issues I don't see how you can touch the CX as a TV or as a monitor. It is a premium product with a premium price.

Now to figure out where to install it . . .behind a desk or on a wall without a desk!? It would be awkward to use it as a monitor without a desk I am thinking though.

This is a sharp price and it must be close to Black Friday pricing but no one knows what BF pricing will be yet, do they?

Where was this?

This a great price, payed the same for a 48CX.
There's no way I could of used 55 as a monitor, I even find the 48" to be a bit awkward just the way my room is setup.
If you are gonna use 55" as a tv or even mount it and use it as a monitor you will not be disappointed.

Seems I'm the only one here who actually had burn in on the 55" b8. I use it for Netflix, ps4, switch and iptv all the time. Luckily for me, Costco came and replaced the entire panel as it was still under the 3 year extended warranty. Tv image is sharp as ever, although I would something disconnect from my wifi.

That is interesting as I have a B7 with over 8,000 hours on it with no burn in. But then I am not playing any games on it.
