I got the 24 inch 1080p version of this monitor. It is great for playing video games. Recommend this deal if you got an Xbox series s

The other ultragear monitor post is of a different model. If you claim repost link the specific one if I missed it.

Not as gaming focused and higher res. Likely better for productivity. I have the 27UL550 and it’s similar to this one you linked. Great for WFH but lacking in gaming capabilities.

4k is too high for 27" for most people unless you specifically need that resolution. 1440p is the sweet spot for that size otherwise you'll end up needing to scale everything up. 4k is also a lot harder to drive for video games unless you have a top tier video card.

i plan on doing a mix of WFH (excel, emails, reports) and a bit of gaming with the PS5. Do you suggest 1440p over 4k?

If you are planning for those two applications likely the 4K one as the PS5 doesnt take advantage based on my knowledge of higher frame rate for 1440P or is compatible - PS5 might just scale down to 1080P for the 1440P monitor. Someone can correct me if I am wrong.

Before getting my LG CX I played apex legends on my 4K monitor and it was decent. Just dont expect high frame rate for warzone later on as these monitors cant get there for the 4K res.

I bought monitor thinking it was a great deal and no one discussed it in the forums at all, until I saw FunnyGamer posted it so it gave me a bit of confidence. It's arriving today and I'll give a brief review once I get it. The rtings score looks good and this sells for about $350 USD on sale. The stand is not adjustable and the build quality is questionable but it's worth a gamble. This is also $350 at memory express right now so I think amazon is just matching competitor's price again.

For general office productivity, 1440p is good. In 4k icons and text would be comically small. However the PS5 doesn't support 1440p so you would be limited to 1080p. Up to you if that's good enough.

that thread started with 27GL83a model, but it covered this one and the more expensive LG 27GN850 (which is actually 27GP850 2021 model).

For Excel 100% 1440p is the sweet spot.

Unfortunately it's hard to read expression from a post. I'm not mad, I was genuinely curious. Take care of yourself :)

My bad, you are right! In that thread they discussed 800 and 850, but it's not the title of the thread
