[Amazon.ca] Lightning Deal AUKEY Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with Customizable RGB Backlight & Tactile Blue Switches

Amazon is selling a decent AUKEY mechanical RGB keyboard on sale 23% off for $49.99 with no taxes being charged on the order. It’s a lightning deal and is already 80% claimed so will expire in a couple hours or once it’s all been claimed. Good luck

Just a reminder for folks newer to mechanical keyboards - Blue switches are quite clicky. Not a switch you want for the office or rooms where others are nearby ;) (should look at browns or reds for those situations)

The last time this keyboard went on sale there was a ton posted on marketplace within a week near me from folks who hated the loud switches lol

Yah my buddy picked it up during that sale and introduced me to the benefits of the cool lighting effects. Been waiting for it to go back on sale since and this is close enough it seemed like good value unless you can wait or find a time machine that is.

This is way TOO loud. I had to return it. Looks super cool though.

I picked this up and like it. I work in a private area and find the c!ickiness is a sort of white noise. I'm the music when I study type fwiw

Only buy this if you hate your coworkers.

Does someone know any deal on ergonomic keyboards?

I got one during the last sale and love it. Was a newbie to mechanical and using it in a non-shared space .. it is quite loud. The clicks feel great and lighting effect is cool.

Outemu Blues I think.

These switches are even louder than Cherry Blues.

Don't buy these for the office/home if there are people around you unless you really, really want to annoy them.

I have brown switches and would still consider them loud. Not as loud as the blue, but definitely not silent.

I'm probably going to end up returning mine, I can live with the noise from most of it, but the space bar is especially noisy on mine. I'm tempted to get the red switch version for $59.99 though...

The RGB lighting is definitely more accurate than the Logitech G512SE RGB.

You can have the tactile response without the massive noise.

Try Cherry MX Brown.

I used Cherry MX Brown for 5 years. Came from an OG Corsair K70 Red backlit Gunmetal Grey MX Brown. I'm actually liking the toned down blue switches of the G512SE, but feel like trying out the Aukey Outemu Reds.

The G512SE blues are less twangy than the Aukey's. The Aukey, as I mentioned, the space bar stabilization is brutal and it just clonks every time you hit it. Can't say I've ever had a keyboard with that poor space bar stabilization.

It's funny you say that, while you're ready to move on, I'd love to have a 5-year journey with Cherry MX Brown... until something does it's gig better.

I like the response, and the lack of Earth shattering sound.

That said, I'm no MK ultra enthusiast, so each day I learn more about this niche. This dying membrane keyboard is killing my ability to type as we speak.

So for now, I'm good with Brown.

Summer 2015 to January 2020. Still works, though I did kill the keyboard once back in 2016 with some tea... Took the keyboard fully apart to clean it, got everything working EXCEPT the volume wheel.

Keyboard still works, it's being relegated to my backup at this point. I did at the time enjoy brown switches over red, when I bought it. Red always felt mushy to me. The G512SE blues... Longhuo I think is what it says on the switch itself, aren't actually too bad coming from Cherry browns. The weight is good, the click is subdued next to other blue switches I've played with in stores over the years. I actually did want RGB for my keyboard so the Logitech was perfect for that over Black Friday.

I was very tempted to get the HyperX Alloy Elite 2 over Boxing Day/New Year sales but held off because it's only available in the HyperX linear red switches right now. I'm hoping they release the HyperX Aqua switches which are MX Brown equivalent. At that point, I'll be ready to jump on board the HyperX train for the Alloy Elite 2.
