I have a similar one (usb 3.2) and when I try to watch movies from it on a TV it freezes sometimes. I red and article and it seems like it needs a power supply to work properly with the TV... just a heads up

Have been watching this as I'm upgrading my 1 TB to a 2 terabyte. So at this point why not grab it now!

Now I just need the two terabytes to come down a little bit and then I can clone.

Ah, I see NVME drives require 5-10 watts. Most tvs probably only 1 amp usb(5v) = 5 watts. I see why you'd want a 2 amp power supply(a decent phone charger).

I've got three of these, they all are bad for long term. Usage, they're fine for short term usage. Eg, they throw errors and cause hard locked if left plugged in 24/7.

No issues with ORICO branded cases though which is ironic as sabrent is usually the quality option.

There also mask the drive from the OS and makes it show up as sabrent

With 92% of over 8,000 reviews being 4-5 stars, it makes me wonder if the drives you use or your computer might be at fault.

The reviews are for Sabrent SSDs as well, and it's Amazon.

I plan on using it just for moving files around or cloning, not leaving it plugged in so I should be fine.

Fair point.
If you apply the filter for M.2 enclosure: 2,029 reviews.
5 stars: 1,498.
4 stars: 268
That's 87% of 4-5 stars reviews for the enclosure.

Just to confirm, this Sabrent enclosure does not support 2230 size drives? (The Amazon page only lists 2242/2260/2280.)

maybe you could get an adapter or bracket for the short drives?
