Got an email indicating they are having a lighting sale for the A119s.

This comes with the GPS piece as well as a capacitor instead of a battery.

I think you need to be sure you get the "V2" revision. It fixed some common problems. I have the A119 V2 and have had no problems. It's low quality in poor light, but is as expected for the price. I wish I'd got the "S" version as it has a more sensitive Sony sensor.

Have one. Video quality is great and it saved me a week ago when I got side swiped by a cab who claimed it was me who went into his lane. Worth its weight in gold.

I did some research into the Viofo A119 V2 and A119s and general consensus says that both versions have great daytime quality, but the A119s does a bit better in the evening because it's using the Sony sensor. Make sure to pick up the CPL filter as well, because it greatly reduces glare

Any reason to get this over the colored Xiaomi ones (Not the Black Chinese 'light' version with 1080p) with 2k resolution? That one I picked up for $55 shipped from CAFAGO but haven't set up yet.

I bought this on a previous lightning deal - it was from BlackboxMyCar (same as this deal) and it was V2.
I'm happy with this model since 95% of my driving is during daylight hours.

I got the older A119C and it has really bad night video quality with light bloom/bleed everywhere.
Daytime was a lot better but there was a persistent lens flare at all times on a sunny day.

I've since dropped the resolution from 2K to 1080/60fps and adjusted the lens position but forgot to check if things have improved.
The only reason I'm keeping it is because I didn't pay for it.

any recommendations for micro sd card? I hear you need something better for constant read and write.

A lot of dashcam sites recommend Transcend sd card as they're the top endurance card for dashcams. Some companies will void warranty if you use it for your dashcam like samsung or sandisk.
I purchased this with the V2 A119 and they're both excellent products. I forgot to rip the blue protect sticker off the lens but it still recorded great haha

Got this one on sale about a year back for $36. Never had an issue.

Isn't it great to live in the 21st century where deleting history has become more important than making it.
