What would the battery life be for something like this? I thought this one came out like 6+ years ago, would it be old stock?

I use mine for work use, lasts 1-2 months on a full charge.

This is an older model, but I don't think it's old stock. The packaging has changed since it was released.

Definitely old stock i believe. Still pretty solid. I bought mine like 2 years ago for $49. no issue with battery life.

I used it about 6-8 hours a day at work, maybe dropping 1/3 after 2-3 weeks of use.

My biggest complain is when it is using bluetooth connection, laggy from time to time, very annoying. Switched to use the USB receiver instead, no issue.

You probably mean would the battery be dead. I don't think so. That uses so little power.

This deal is Hot because it's almost the same mouse as the newer MX3 which stubbornly stays around $130.

Is this mouse bigger than the 720? I bought the 720 and it's so small it hurts.

I have this MX master, v2 and v3. V3 is my favourite because of the location of the forward and backward buttons. (v1 and v2 requires me to move my thumb farther back than I find comfy)

It's a good bit larger. You can see a comparison pic here.

I just splurged and got the MX Master 3... it feels a bit too big for me (that's what she said). Or maybe I just have small Donald Trump hands.

Going to try to get used to it.

I think you will. I love the heavy sturdy feel of that mouse and its rubbery touch. My thumb rests just right in that valley. I also like the thumb wheel which I assigned as a volume control.

Why?

I have a V2 at work, and got this for home. I think having the same mouse at both places would be better for me.

Still interested in why V3 is much better.

Forward/Back buttons better location
Much improved scroll wheel (Faster/Quieter/More precise)
USB C charging

The 1 and 2 are fine, but if you don't own any, would definitely get the 3.

If used strictly for work, is the MX Master V2 a better deal than the G604 at the same price point?

Has anyone had any issues with the rubbery surface de-vulcanizing? Mine is about 2 years old and there are some spots where the rubber is starting to get sticky, particularly where your thumb rests. I can clean it with some rubbing alcohol, but the stickiness comes back after a few weeks.
