[Amazon.ca] [Lowest $ Ever] Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN E-Mount Lens for Sony APS-C Mirrorless Cameras $470.52

This is a highly-rated bright Sigma lens for wide-angle photography on Sony Mirrorless cameras with APS-C size sensors.
Examples include the Sony a5000, Sony a5100, Sony a6400, etc.

The wide angle and large aperture of this lens make for some great bokeh.

Lens Mount Type: Sony E-Mount
Maximum Aperture: f/1.4
Focal Length:16mm (24.5mm full-frame equivalent)
Diameter for Filters : Accepts 67mm filters

It’s a great lens! I have both the 16mm and 30mm art lenses and the 16mm is tack sharp and has amazing autofocus. The 30mm tends to hunt a bit :(

Such a sharp lens. Never comes off my camera. Have the Sony 18-105 F4 - never use it.

Oh man this is so tempting but I really don't need it.
I have the touit 32mm and 12mm which already don't get enough use.

Great lens for anyone looking for a wide prime!

Agree that it is a great price. I got it used at at B&H at 310USD, so it hold its value quite well (in case you wanted to sell it afterwards).

Nice sharp lens with fast auto focus. Only nitpicking points are that flaring is not controlled as well as I'd like, and that it is a bit big.

Pretty good lens but you need make sure you want that focal length as I find it a bit too wide to use often

Otherwise, great lens and really sharp.

Too bad no IS... otherwise I would have bought it. Using NEX5R and A6000 and I need IS for video.

I find this lens has very poor bokeh. Wide angle and bokeh don't usually go together.

We must have different use cases! I plugged in my Sony a5000 (with this lens) to my PC via a Camlink 4k adapter and use it as my Zoom camera. When using this as a close-up 'self' camera (for vlogging, youtube content creation, etc.) with aperture wide open, the background blur is quite pleasant.

I think that's probably because if you're vlogging, the subject (ie. you) is quite close to the lens, so the background separation is decent.

I think I paid $399USD at B&H when it first came out. Excellent lens. I use it most of the time unless I need a telephoto.
I have a bunch of other prime and zoom lens that I barely use.
