[Amazon.ca] Lysol All Purpose Cleaner 1.2 L - Concentrate (Add-On Item)

Lysol concentrate back in stock on Amazon.ca as an Add-On Item

EDIT: Yes it's an Add-On Item, but I still think it's a hot deal. According to directions on the back of the bottle, one of these bottles will make just under 20L of Lysol solution!
4L of cleaning solution needs only 250ml of this product and 3.75L of warm water.

Directions from website
To clean:
Use full-strength or dilute ¼ cup (2 oz.) per gallon of warm water
Apply to surface until thoroughly wet
Wipe with a clean cloth, sponge, or mop

To clean soap scum and greasy soil:
Use full strength and rinse

To Sanitize/Disinfect:
Pre-clean surface
Apply to surface until thoroughly wet

To Sanitize: Leave for 1 minute before wiping
To Disinfect: Leave for 10 minutes before wiping
Rinse all food contact surfaces with water after using the product
If you need a spray bottle, buy one of these (also back in stock)

What's the difference between the 3 options in terms of viruses like COVID? Does it matter which one you get?

Purell Professional Multi-Surface Sanitizer and Disinfectant should be a better option.
it claims to kill covid-19 in 30 seconds, better than the 1 minute lysol.

FYI, the active ingredient in this is benzalkonium chloride. Research shows that you need a concentration of 0.05-0.2% benzalkonium chloride with a contact time of approximately 10 minutes to inactivate viruses like Covid.

This Lysol has that in a concentration of 1.186%. Thereby this one bottle of Lysol can be diluted 23 to 1 to meet 0.05% concentration. Meaning diluted, this can make over 28 liters of an effective compound to kill Covid-19 and similar viruses.

Just to be on the safe side, I'd probably use this to make no more than 20L. Distilled water is best for long term storage of diluted cleaners.

You're paying a lot more for the convenience of not mixing and a spray bottle you may not already have.
FYI, the picture of that reddit post is wrong. The correct amount of water is 3.75L to 250ml of lysol concentrate. You can mix 300ml of lysol to 700ml of water if you want, but you'll be wasting money

Oh damn. I thought these were 'refill' bottles and I have just been using them full strength. I clearly remember a bottle with that wording on the label. Are all the lysol 'bulk' bottles more concentrated compared to the spray bottles?

Do you know that 1 minutes is too long before the thin layer of water dry out?
You need to keep spray the surface and keep it wet.
It is about how efficient the sanitizer works, how about whether you have free time or not.

I know this is hard to understand without too much common sense, but at least you can try?

My friend gave me some of her giant jug of this when I couldn't find anything else. Mixed it with water and have been happily using it in a spray bottle with water (in the right ratio - which is a ton of water to a small amount of cleaner).

Buy Odoban from Homedepot, and dilute it with water at 1:25.

I also got a one gallon sparyer from Princessauto and used it a lot already.
