[Amazon.ca] Mini ITX mobo AMD RYZEN Gigabyte X570 I AORUS Pro WiFi $209 ATL

I know it's near the end of a product cycle, but if you still need a X570 mini ITX board to build a compact gaming PC, this is a good deal. Pair it with a 5600x, 5800x, or 5950x if you want, or wait for the 5800X3D, will last you for a few years.

These itx boards are always at a premium price. This is the all time low according to CCC.

Perfectly. I have one of this with 5800x in my NR200P, built it in Oct 2021.

I think he means that amd will be changing their socket for the next generations of their cpus and therefore won't physically be compatible with this motherboard.

Possibly? You think there is a chance the next socket will be backwards compatible? I'd be shocked and happy if that's the case.

The current Socket AM4 made its debut all the way back in September 2016, prior to the release of 1st Generation Ryzen.

AM5 socket is due for release in the second half of 2022.

Upcoming Zen 4 CPUs which add PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 support will use AM5.

AM4 isn’t dead yet though. The upcoming 5800X3D will retain AM4 compatibility and it’s possible that AMD will reveal 5900X3D or 5950X3D models at some point in the coming months too.

Holding off on buying any PC parts until I manage to snag a GPU (via, bundle or not)

Until then I'm gaming with remote desktop....

what does your PCH fan run at? HWinfo64 claims mine runs at 7000rpm. It doesn't sound like a high pitch whine, but its definitely noisy. Ends up getting drowned out by my rtx 3070 anyway though.

I think this is the one without usbc headers for front panel. so watch out for that. NR200P will be a good paring though.

Built my first mini ITX pc for the first time in ~20 years due to hype. Sure it looks cute for my gf but the lack of PCI/PCIE slots, poor airflow and restrictive PSU selection (on some cases) makes me wonder why are high tier mini itx mobos even a thing?
I've tried ~10 RTX 3080s and the only one that fit is the "slim" EVGA RTX 3080 XC3 ultra where it's 1cm away from the PSU shroud. I had to remove the PSU shroud and sneak a slim fan in there to not choke the GPU. Even some larger heatsink 3060ti/3070s did not fit. The nzxt h210i isn't even considered a very small case either. Currently running a 6800xt reference in there.

Mini itx builds made more sense when reference cards were blower style.

This board is great just recently sold mine for 170, bought it July 2019. Super stable, over locked well, no issues over time owned, has all the features one needs along w USB c on real panel but not front and nvme gen 4x4 M.2 support w second nvme M.2 on back side. Paid $336 w tax 7/2019, $209, not bad, worked well w 3600 and my 5600x. Sold to move back to an ATX build but great board

It's not the form factor that's the issue, it was your choice of case. If you went for the NR200, you'd have almost none of the issues. It would fit any GPU, and even have room for full width 120mm fans under the XC3 along with a regular ATX PSU.

Thats pretty much been confirmed. AM5 (codename for now) will be released this year (announced in Oct) and should last at least 6 years (at least as long as AM4 based on announcement). Of course that doesnt mean this is dead given there are still new CPUs planned for it plus getting new socket motherboard/CPU arent exactly easy at release given all the supply issues we have faced the last 2 years. I mean Ryzen 3000/4000/5000 series were mostly out of stock between 2020 till mid 2021.

I'd skip on Gigabyte products. Support and warranty services are shiate. Speaking as an x570 master owner that has nothing but problems with all bios updates, and they lost my warranty file (when their system was hacked) and 6months later shipped back my same broken board.
