Thanks OP! My wife geocaches and kayaks a lot, these are perfect for the watery environments she frequents!

Why only use for Cuba? And why leave them behind? They can extract your DNA off of them you know. lol

I only go to Cuba for fun in the sun vacations, gorgeous beach, great people, and super cheap all inclusives.

I've heard it's not the bargain it used to be.

I've gone 4 times in the last 7 years, I go in the off season (September/October) never paid more than $600pp for 4 star, never had explosive diarrhea or any rain during the day, 30-40°

Bought 2. I am really into snorkelling and I miss having a camera under water. Time to try this out at $8. Thanks OP!

Make sure you do the "tissue test" first before using it with a phone/camera.

Indeed. I have no intention to "wing it" on my $1500 phone. I am also anxious about it starting to leak later. I wonder how you can avoid that. Do I tissue test every vacation?

Knock on wood, ive probably used 10+ of these type of pouches over the past few years and none have ever leaked.

These are good for keeping sand out of your phone... But I'm don't want my spiffy new phone to get that close to the water in this bag!
I had the same feeling at first, we used my wife's iPhone 6 and when. I saw it worked amazingly well I gambled it with my phone too lol. Needless to say they were both bone dry.

But I hear you...still great for just sand. Just give it a good rinse or wipe down before opening to avoid any sand getting through the seal when you open it back up.

Ziplock bags work well to an extent. They are great for water resistance but I wouldn't trust it being fully submerged for long periods of time. Plus the camera clarity gets distorted with Ziplocks I feel.

Using the waterproof pouches isn't perfect camera quality but I'd say it's more clear than through a Ziplock.
