Hurry and don't forget airmiles. You'll get about $70 or more back. I cancelled my previous order and reordered with airmiles.

I had to rush out a post, but now that it's posted, two things:

(1) Buy with AirMiles. Just buy.
(2) After you purchase, consider the utility of this product and keep, cancel, or return accordingly.

If you skip (1), you'll potentially not have the option to keep in (2)... for the foreseeable.

No FOMO.

Frankly, forget the Air Miles if it takes too long. Buy.

There are only 41 people in this thread, that will change soon.

Easily the best bang for you buck. I got it at $609 from CC and even that was a good deal. I know people bashed this one cause they said it's MSI and then it runs hot. I have no idea why everyone is saying it runs hot. Mine is at 68C under full load. One thing though..it doesn't overclock well. Just keep that in mind. A weird thing I noticed..it says the boost clock for this card is 1770Mhz but mine runs at 1920 and I haven't over clocked it. Anyone know why this might be?

Given how frequently this sale has appeared over the past few days (only to immediately sell out), and the shipping date, I wonder if it might be a new official price in response to AMD's rumored GPU announcements at CES next month.

isn't 5700XT a better buy?

2070 S is more powerful, 5700 XT is slightly cheaper

It's because the fans have to work really hard to maintain that temp so it's about noise.

Put it this way. The MSI Gaming X version is almost twice the weight and that's almost entirely the heatsink.

Yes, 1920 is the dynamic boost working. The cards can determine the highest clockrate possible within the available temperature and power budget on their own.

You can boost it even higher than that, but it is power locked, so max I've got is 2050Mhz. Maybe if I flash a new bios, I can unlock the power it needs. Maybe the gaming x model from MSI?

The gigabyte windforce can go up to 2150Mhz with just a 10% power increase in the power limit.

At this price you can get a really good 5700xt or a shitty 2070 super.

Most people get it for the RTX, avoid driver issues or wanting to use nvencoder, it's also better for cuda accelerated productivity tasks.

You might have to flash to the gaming z, the gaming x has the same 215 watt TDP I think.

Nevermind gaming x will do it... But gaming x has a much bigger heatsink though.

Wow this is a smoking deal!

I would have bought this in a heartbeat if it was available when I bought my 5700 XT on BF for 500 bucks . . .but the cheapest 2070 Super was ~700 bucks and there is no way a 2070 Super is worth 200 bucks more than 5700 XT.

It looks like the deal is dead again.

@feminazi

It felt like it lasted maybe 15 minutes.

I'd say you still knocked it out of the park.
