Not bad.

Does this work with the 5600G? Yes, after a manual update.

Listing is being updated in real time LOL. I was going to mention it is not 2.5G LAN as the title claimed, but that's been fixed. Title still says WiFi 6 which it isn't though.

The Amazon listing even says it's 2.5Gb lan. But you are correct, it is not. Product specs page on MSI says "1x Realtek® RTL8111HN Gigabit LAN "
2.5G LAN with LAN Manager and Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX Solution: Upgraded network solution for professional and multimedia use. Delivers a secure, stable and fast network connection

There is an issue with the USB on this motherboard if you plug in a high current USB drive to the USB on the I/O the wifi gets flaky. Other people have reported wonky USB too, but it manifests itself in other ways.

Addressable with BIOS update?

I buy Powered USB 3.0 hubs for this reason. It's common on laptops and some desktops.

Best problem-solver. One and done.

P.S. Every household should have a good powered USB 3.0 Type A hub.

I'm not sure why this would be a question, is a special update required for G?

On a related note, this motherboard will comfortably support 5600X and 5800X CPUs.

In the unlikely chance that it's old stock and incompatible out of the box, you can flash the BIOS without a CPU.

Just in case anyone else has Patriot Viper Steel RAM, I had trouble with 2 sets on this motherboard when I tried to turn on XMP, memtest gave bunch of errors and only on this motherboard so it wasn't bad RAM. Tested with XMP off it did OK. The RAM was Patriot Viper Steel DDR4 16GB (2 x 8GB) 4000MHz Performance Memory Kit - PVS416G400C9K, and the slower 3733Mhz version of the same RAM.

I have this motherboard since November, so far it's impossible to install Windows 7. I'll have to go Windows 10 or 11 unless someone knows how to install 7.

you're not supposed to mix ram kits with different speeds...

i tried this board with 4x8gb of patriot viper steel 3200mhz and it worked completely fine at XMP

Is there a particular reason you want Windows 7? Windows 10 has much more features like security updates, DX12, PowerToys, Borderless Fullscreen no effect on performance, Virtual Desktops etc

Probably legacy use case, but VMs would do you in that case.
