If you need a Quadro RTX 5000 in a mobile package, this could be an option.

It's not for everyone...so I'm ready for the downvotes.

Who is it for?
Someone who needs to do their rendering/CAD work on the go?

And there's no cheaper/better alternative? Genuinely asking.

That's pretty typical for a mobile workstation, even one at $5k. There's no benefit to running AutoCAD at 4K. In fact, some programs like SolidWorks have issues with 4K.

I mean a Quadro RTX 5000 on it's own runs for $3000 in a desktop setup, or is a $3000+ addon for a limited number of laptops that even offer it. The i9 is like a $1000 chip. One of the only other options that I found that could spec itself out like this MSI was the Dell Precision 7550, and in a configuration similar to this MSI, it runs over $6k.

It's definitely a niche product, but people are downvoting simply because they don't understand who this is for. Not a bad deal if you're looking for a mobile workstation solution.

The Quadro GPU alone costs $3k. It's designed for specific applications. And this MSI notebook is significantly thinner and lighter than other mobile workstations.

I don't understand the downvotes for this. Expensive for sure but have anyone researched how much the same hardware costs in other brands? Not to mention it's a very light machine with powerful GPU and huge battery.

It's for some of those who design, architect, and / or engineer the world* you're in.

(* The artificial aspects, at least)

Average RFD user + item that is out of their price bracket + lack of knowledge = downvotes + boomer jokes. People are on here just to look at the price tags tbh.
