Nice find OP but I wish it supported POE.

The GSS108E should be no brainer being managed and has lifetime warranty compared to the 2-yr for the GS308, for only $5 difference.

Out of curiosity, what do you use VLANs for in a home network?

The only things I can think of are Bell's IPTV if you want to bypass their modem and maybe security cameras to isolate them from the internet

Just a note that only the 16port version has basic VLAN. Looks like it is not included with the 8 port.

Same, I want to get it but I just can't think of a reason why I would need VLAN at home.

It’s just a toy to play with at home for anyone who works in IT and wants to pretend their home is an office building.

The 24-port version (JGS524E) is also a good price at $150.

Any questionable network devices that you want to keep away from your valuable data. Android TV boxes that rarely get OS security updates are a good example.

But yeah, not everybody cares about VLAN, that's fine, but it's just a bonus. I see the main value being the lifetime warranty(which usually means it's built with better components), easily $5 value by itself. The cheap switches usually have the cheapest electrolytic capacitors that crap out after a few years.
