Not a good deal.

Buy at Shoppers for $379.99 with 20x points.. get $114 (more on bonus redemption days) in points.. good for a game, controllers, groceries, etc.

Atlantic Superstore has it for 299.99. I've seen it in several stores over a few weeks so I don't think it's a time limited sale, must be clearing them out. Sorry I didn't take any pics.

OLED version at Shoppers with 20x the points is probably a better bet. The screen is so much nicer.

No OLED and game not included? Sorry to pour salt but it's a cold deal.

It's also $90 cheaper than the OLED.

That's like saying the Lite isn't a deal because you can't play on the TV.

EDIT: I upvoted because I bet there are some resellers who tried to flip this for $500+ and missed the return window and are now stuck with something they paid $400+ for.

I regret not trading up to OLED since I've spent a ton of time playing Pokemon Arceus in handheld mode (previously docked 90% of the time). No way I would purchase a non-OLED in 2022.

It's honestly hard to believe how many units of this console Nintendo actually ended up producing. One of the Best Buy stores here has over 30 units just sitting around collecting dust.

I hope anyone who paid a fortune for one off a scalper for one a month or two after they originally released feels like an absolute 🤡

I remember this version getting sold out a couple of years back and people were scaling it. Good for Nintendo to continue making more.

Of course anyone that wants use it as a portable would better off with the OLED version though it's more expensive.

OLED is worth the premium only if you play handheld majority of the time.

the OLED screen and stand are much better than the regular switch, but it comes at a cost.

Yeah this version ended up having so many units of it made that it basically destroyed all resale value of it. Like not even from a scalping perspective, but just selling it period it's not worth anything more than a regular Switch console considering anyone can walk into any Best Buy or GameStop store right this second and buy a BNIB one off the shelf.

Honestly the only reason I'm still hanging on to mine is because I don't want to end up with just another generic Switch unit. I'm hoping Nintendo puts out a special edition OLED version for BotW2 or Pokemon Scarlet+Violet (although a SE Switch Lite seems more likely for that).

If you think you might trade or sell your console down the line, OLED might be worth it since 1-3 years from now it will be easier to sell and the higher sale price or trade in value might cover the difference you originally paid.
I will tell my grandchildren about the deal I got on an HP Touchpad at the Bank street staples thanks to rfding.

Who remembers when these used to go for $600 during the pandemic? Time flies...

Is it cheaper if you buy it from shoppers during their 20x points event because you can use the points accumulated from the 20x promo to purchase accessories etc?
