Amazon.ca not shipping certain products ["Shipped and sold by Amazon"] to my address.

Anyone know why something like this would happen?
Both nearly identical products are "Shipped and Sold by Amazon".

Needed a new shaver as my current one has kicked the bucket. Saw two different nearly identical models but one was much cheaper. The shipping address is the same for both, a single family detached residence. Lucky me, the cheaper one can't be shipped to my address. Very frustrating.

Something wrong with the item. It also doesn't ship to my single detached house.
Brown ahead for Bure. Bure going in.. he scores! Pavel Bure has won it for the Vancouver Canucks! It's a triple overtime hat-trick for Vancouver!

Noticed this with quite a few battery & rechargeable powered products.

Positive they ran an algorithm on dangerous goods (large lithium) in the last month, and accidentally flagged a whole bunch of innocent items.

Tried explaining it to multiple Amazon's CSR proved useless...

Example:
Restricted (1 x CR123 Lithium Battery) - https://www.amazon.ca/Energizer-EL123AP ... 421&sr=8-1

Not Restricted (6 x CR123 Lithium Battery) - https://www.amazon.ca/Energizer-Lithium ... 476&sr=8-6

Thank you, looks like I'm not the only one experiencing this. I thought I was going crazy.

I think you're on to something, that's really interesting! It also explains why all these restricted items also happen to be on sale. Their sales must have gone down to zero if nobody can order them.

Had the same issue with Amazon splitting my order in two and refusing to deliver to Canada Post Flexdelivery with either of them. Had to opt for home delivery. I hate that. Hope it doesn’t continue.

I had this issue trying to ship red bull energy drinks to my normal home address on prime day.

No idea why it was refusing to go through.

For me, 100% of the orders that could not be shipped to a specific address (such as a post office), it was because it contained flammable contents.

Not sure if that's how redbull gives users wings or not.

I had a big fight with them about a set of Andis clipper combs. They are advertising them for 1-day delivery to my address. They said they can't ship them to me "due to Covid restrictions." When I asked if that actually makes sense considering they ship stuff to me every 2 days, they said it's because of "manufacturer shipping restrictions."

My latest position is that Amazon is offering them for sale and I am accepting their offer. They said they would call me back but they didn't.

See, if it can get to me in 1 day, it's likely in one of their Toronto warehouses. They will not ship it to Richmond Hill, which is really part of Toronto.

I asked them if they are a retailer or a company that stores stuff in warehouses, forever? What I actually think is going on, is that Andis is stockpiling these for the second wave lockdown, because they jacked the price up to $50 in the spring and can make more money. They told Amazon to stop sales to build inventory. I think these combs cost Andis about $2 to make.

I've had this issue in the past with certain energy bars and drinks. I think their reasoning for those was that it was set by the manufacture. Possibly the items had retail outlets locally that they didn't want to take business away from was my only conclusion.

Had this happen on numerous occasions. Once was for a backpack. Could not ship to Flex Delivery address or Amazon pick-up point. Would only accept home address. Must be a glitch somewhere. Makes no sense.

Happened to me on Prime Day. Was buying an August Smart Lock Pro 3rd gen. I wasn't able to check out due to the same error message. Then I tried a few different addresses in GTA, Alberta and BC. None of them work. Out of curious, I added the other colour of the lock which I was able to check out successfully. Called Amazon and got transferred to a few department. None of them is able to solve the issue.

This glitch happened to me two years ago. It took them 6 months to fix the problem. If you need the item, go somewhere else to buy it. By the time they fix the problem, you probably go around the world many times.

This is the same with me when it comes to beverages. I wanted to order some sweet tea that I can't find here, yet amazon won't ship it to me. In fact, most drinks they won't ship to me, including drinks I ordered from Amazon previously where they shipped it to me no problem. The only drinks I have been able to order are drinks that are shipped within the same province. So, I'm guessing covid restrictions won't let them ship beverages out of province? It's really dumb.
