[Amazon Canada] Nutro Perfect Portions Chicken and Turkey Pate Cat Food 24 Pack - $18.10

12 portions each of the turkey pate and chicken pate. Really good price on these, the 12 pack alone is $17. Ends up coming to about 66c/serving. Both products have a 8/10 score on catfooddb.

Back ordered now but price is still valid. Worth stocking up on, I purchased 3 packs myself.

So, how often do you throw these cat surprise parties?

Whoever bought this is going to be disappointed. According to the features and details it states:

Contains Twelve (12) 2.65oz.(75g) twin pack trays (24 servings total) of NUTRO PERFECT PORTIONS Cuts in Gravy Poultry Multipack: (6) Chicken and (6) Turkey

Most likely Amazon is going to send out 1 pack of 12 (24 portions) and not 2 packs of 12.

Compared to this listing:

https://www.amazon.ca/Nutro-Wild-fronti ... ZDWD5VXZWW

It states: Contains Two (2) boxes of Tweleve (12) 2.65oz (75g) Twin pack trays (48 serving total) of NUTRO wild frontier perfect portions pate multi-pack: 2x(6) chicken and beef and 2x(6) salmon and trout

It says that for both the 12 and the 24 pack - I'm assuming the 24 pack is 2x the description you copied above (also reflective in the image if you change between the 12 and 24 pack). That description also lists chunks in gravy but the picture is pate...would definitely advise against keeping it if it is indeed chunks in gravy.

We'll see... Amazon is notorious for sending me the wrong pet food. Like a single tin instead of a case. Unamused Face

Sometimes they get it right though.

Shipping weight is 2.4 kg versus 1kg

You're getting 48 portions

10/10 right

Price is also kind of underwhelming...

Amazon is 1.50$ per 2.65oz
Petsmart is 1.69$ per 2.65oz

Most reputable pet food retailers dropped Nutro as there were way too many complaints and class action law suits going on after Mars bought them out. Mars, like other big companies, are selling based on previous brand quality but have completely cheaped out and use substandard ingredients but still charge people higher prices because of brand loyalty...kinda like Blue Buffalo that a lot of higher end retailers are dropping because of the law suits and issues in quality. Acana/Orijen is another line that has been bought out and changed their ingredient sources as well.

Some pets have no problems with cheap food...others like my cats do. The cost of higher quality food like N&D works out cheaper in the long run without repeat visits to the vet because of tainted ingredients or ingredient changes in the cheaper food.

Can't find it on catfooddb.

Here's Nutro if you wanted to compare:
http://catfooddb.com/product/nutro/Perf ... urkey+Pate
http://catfooddb.com/product/nutro/Perf ... icken+Pate
It's here: http://catfooddb.com/brand/instinct
