[Amazon.ca] [OOS] HOT: $19.99 WAVLINK Thunderbolt 3 Type C to Dual DisplayPort Adapter - Dual 4K 60Hz

Update: Deal is dead - OOS
————————————
This could be a pricing error, makes it the cheapest thunderbolt 3 dock I have ever seen

I received mine today and it works perfectly with two Dell UltraSharp displays at 4K/60hz and an XPS 15 9560 laptop.

Newegg Canada currently lists it for $99.99 (Link)

And weirdly there is even a duplicate listing under the same WAVLINK Direct-CA store on Amazon for $139.99. I imagine this would a pricing error. Smoking hot if you are looking to hook up your laptop to a two 4K monitors at 60hz, it is quite rare to see any thunderbolt 3 docking station under $100.

Why are some USB C ports Thunderbolt ports and some not? Is it an Apple thing?

They are two different protocols using the same interface.
Today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday.

Thunderbolt 3 is basically a superset of USB-C ports, they look the same but TB3 is a lot speedier (Up to 40Gbps). It was developed by Intel and Apple.

Wow, that's cheap. Great to see TB3 stuff coming down in price. According to the price history, the 'regular' price is only $30.

Also, I love this typo in the description: "Compact potable and aluminum rugged design."

So refreshing!

Nice find. Comparable to Sabrent Thunderbolt 3 to Dual DisplayPort Adapter [Supports Up to Two 4K 60Hz Monitors On Mac and Some Windows Systems] (TH-3DP2) https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B079JJ2MTR/

All these 2x 4k60 TB3 docks seem to go for around $100

Could you use this to extend your m1 MacBook output to two external monitors?

No reviews, even thunderbolt 3 cable is more than $20, I don’t trust this brand

At this price it’s worth trying out isn’t it? Amazon returns has never been any trouble for me. Has your experience been different?

Well the brand has at least one Thunderbolt certified product: https://thunderbolttechnology.net/produ ... -station-0

So I wouldn't rule this out. I can't find the full database, but they have at least one legit product so it's def worth the risk at this price if it even ships
