Wood slat support. Good reviews. Lowest price on Amazon.ca for king/queen. Plus GCR is offering 10% rebate on Home category (hopefully this qualifies). Same mattress is $258.30 for Queen, and $285.30 for King on walmart.ca.

The distance between slats is 2.25" for the Twin and Full and 2.56" for the Queen and King, so it's good for memory foam mattresses.

The clearance under the bed frame is 12".

Never used keepa, and I'm unable to check the history on my phone. What's the lowest you're seeing for king/queen? Twin is not the lowest, but king/queen are according to camel.

my GF and I are both heavy set - i don't think this will support the weight of strenuous exercises without creaking and / or breaking

From walmart.ca
"Our platform bed can hold up to 500 lbs of combined weight, excluding the mattress weight. This rating is for the full, queen and king size. And our twin sized platform bed can hold up to 250 lbs of combined weight, excluding the mattress weight."

This was on my radar, however the slats on it are more than 3 inches apart. That voids the warranty of memory foam mattresses.
that's a good point, I just use it along with zinus memory mattress that was also cheap enough that I didn't care about the warranty, but if you have a pricey one then more slats is needed.

Got the king size delivered yesterday via FedEx. Assembled in less than an hour thanks to very intuitive instructions. All pieces are numbered to indicate which connects to what.
Bed seems very soiid, no squeaking experienced all day/night. Will see how it is after a month of use.

Slats are spaced around 2.5". Using this bed with my Silk n Snow Hybrid mattress.

GCR messed up the rebate as usual. Only got 1.3% initially. Sent them a complaint and had it adjusted to 10%. After sending the email, I noticed that they updated their rebate notes to exclude bed frames from the 10% cash-back.

mine is queen size. It was $225 for queen and $299 for king during 2017 boxing day. If you dont need it now you can wait until it goes on sale.

Thanks for the feedback.
unfortunately i waited for 2018 whole year..i did not see that price range came again after 2017 boxing day sale.
I am not sure how to get alerts instead of frequently checking the prices every week.

you are right. It seems the price has been that high since 2017 boxing day. You can monitor it by using camel camel camel.
