[Amazon.ca] Overture TPU Filament 1.75mm, 1KG roll ($20.99-$23.99 depending on color)

Looks like a decent deal, normally I order from 3DPrintingCanada but the Red, Blue and Dark Blue is cheaper and free shipping if you have Amazon Prime.

Perfect, thanks.

I just bought one of the ender 3 direct drive kits (if nothing else it's a good price on spare parts... :) ) so this will give me a reason to get that installed and give it a try. :)

Tpu is amazing and the ones I have are from Overture as well. I strongly recommend.

What kind of stuff do you print with TPU?

With TPU I print mostly impact stoppers (for doors or so), noise stoppers of any sort (to reduce vibration between metal parts)...or even pulleys for prototypes...

TPU can also make squishy toys for kids, soft feet for chairs, new feet for laptops, possibly even new soles for shoes.

Sounds like a material I could use.
Thanks.

Just a head's up.... I've got a roll on order to play with it, and have parts waiting to be installed on my printer that should make printing with it easier, but do some research before you jump in feet first with TPU. It's apparently a bit trickier to print with than PLA or PETG.

Not trying to discourage you from trying it, but don't expect it to be "plug and play" ready.

Only 95A hardness, so not as flexible as other TPUs. Otherwise good deal, too bad it’s sold out.

For other filaments I just use filaments.ca. They always have $21 spools (high quality stuff too) but every now and then I’ll get a spool on sale for $16.

Do you buy in bulk to get free shipping or is it still a good deal (compared to Amazon prime) with shipping costs?

Ender 3 is the most popular option, but there are are many Ender 3 clones now that come with more for less. Keep an eye on hot deals for one, they're posted pretty frequently.

I'm on the mailing list. Every now and then they do free shipping over $50, or even once they did free shipping no minimum. That said, shipping is pretty low compared to other sites. It's about $10 for me, which means if I get at least 2x spools at $20 I'm saving money compared to Amazons >$30 spools.

Aquila is $220 frequently on amazon.ca and is basically an ender 3 v2. It really doesn't get any cheaper than that. I just got mine and it's great, coming from the last cheap 3D printer (MP select mini v2). The fans are loud but you can swap those out pretty cheap.
