Thanks! I updated the post with that info. I purchased direct from Ozeri as well.

I can't speak for this specific pan but I bought the Ozeri wok when it was on sale and the quality of it is top-notch.

I have this one too - it's really great value - truly non-stick without crazy premium pricing - still going strong after few months of use

You can't compare a carbon steel to non stick. Carbon steel will last forever and is similar to cast iron with seasoning.

The reviews at the 6+ month mark say it goes to sh!t. The non-stick coating wears off and the pan warps. So it's just another cheap non-stick pan with a lot of *completely meaningless* buzzwords thrown in the description. Get a $10 T-Fal instead, you'll get the same results

Also lol at the company. It's pretty obvious this is a fly-by-night from China. Their US address is a UPS Store. Their German address is in a residential neighbourhood.

German made assembled in China? Doesn't make sense.
The other way around maybe. Or for a complex product. Not for a darn pan.

Man, all I want is a decent pan with a thick base that my wife can't warp when she overheats it. Maybe I'll just buy a harbourfreight press so I can bend the bases back into shape.

Cast iron is reactive so not suitable for acidic stuff. Every serious chef has one or two non stick pans in the cabinet for certain uses.

I donno about the addresses etc. but Ozeri has been around for quite some time. They make a lot of random kitchen stuff. I have an electric bottle opener from them I bought off Amazon USA more than 10 years ago.
