[Amazon.ca] Palio Expert 3.0 Table Tennis Racket $34.99

If I still worked at an office with access to a TT table, I would be ALL over this.

This is a well reviewed beginner racket that has never went on sale as far as I (and keepa) know.

Edit: Main deal sold out. There are other Palio rackets on sale as well though... I don't know if there's perceptible difference between Expert 3.0 and Expert 2.

This is a well reviewed beginner-intermediate (?) racket that has never went on sale as far as I (and keepa) know.

Sold out. Guess it doesn't matter what the difference is now.

Some one likes to pay for brand names @ $90+.
Usually there is some differences in materials used - unless you get the really cheap ones (those without the foam/sponge layer).

By the way, don't copy me.

It's literally the same brand, and original price is $50, not $90 (those are just marketplace prices)

There's expert, master, and legend... Is there any reason you can't just buy legend instead of buying all 3? Or is expert (beginner) more forgiving or something?

I'd rather be a legend for only $20 more

Expert is slower hence better control therefore for beginners. Legend is faster hence more aggressive therefore for advanced players.

What does slower mean exactly? Thicker pad, more cushion, so ball slows down?

It means the ball bounces off the paddle at a lower speed. Probably by having softer padding. This makes the ball more controllable and easier to apply spin.

The expert 2 (previous gen) is still in stock.

Ping pong paddles are super inflated in price. One side of rubber alone can cost 75.00. And that's not top-of-the-line. If you buy the paddle and the rubbers separately, the combo can cost more than a high-end tennis racket, which in my opinion is a more complex equipment to make.
