Googling the model, it appears that this particular unit was introduced 13 years ago. Not sure how long they produced new inventory or if they still do, but the rechargeable battery condition could be a consideration if the units being sold are just new old stock, and have been sitting around for a bit. A few of the Amazon reviews comment about lasting only a year.

Get a Phillips shaver. Those last decades...

But with that said, my Panny plasma is still going strong...

I think it depends on usage. Most of the time shavers lasts more than 2 or more years.

These Panasonic shavers are built like a tank. I’ve been using an ES-RF31 I got from an RFD deals thread in 2012 that still has the original battery going strong. I’ve bought 2-3 sets of new blades and foils over that time. No complaints.

Costco is selling these two at 109.99, which one do all of you think a better choice
This is like asking Honda Vs Toyota.

BRaun if you're likely to shave often and need a really close shave. Philips more of people with sensitive skin/curly hair.

edit:Out of the 2 you linked I would choose braun simply because all of my Braun shavers still work and only replaced because of birthday gifts. (just my preference not saying its better)

Yeah, I still have my Panasonic shaver from 10+ years ago running strong on the original battery and blades. These things are indestructible. Panasonic is a leader in lithium battery quality so it's not surprising. Braun, Phillips, and Norelco are all garbage in comparison. I have owned shavers from them and they all die in 2-3 years tops.

This Panasonic shaver is a tank. I've had one for over 10 years. Replaced the batteries with some standard rechargeable AA's. It's still going strong.
